The Williamson County Office of Economic Development is the single point of contact for the coordination and facilitation of the continued development of the economy of Williamson County and its six municipalities. The purpose of the office is to grow the county’s economy and improve the quality of life of its residents by partnering with the public and private sector to encourage job and wealth creation.
The Office markets and positions the community as an attractive investment location to a local, national and international audience, focusing on three key areas:

3. Nurturing a culture of entrepreneurship
Services include, but are not limited to:
Developing customized solutions for site location consultants and their clients and new and existing business prospects
Serving as a liaison between local, state, and federal government and the private sector to resolve outstanding issues including those related to zoning and codes
Providing customized research solutions, including information on new business starts, business activity, market trends, consumer expenditures and area demographics
Conducting customized searches and reports of land, office, retail, or flex space available to fit the specific needs of clients

Providing workforce solutions in coordination with the Williamson County Workforce Essentials office
Coordinating economic incentive process for qualifying projects through the State of Tennessee Office of Economic and Community Development and the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA)
Serving as the liaison between the business community and the education community, including facilitating meetings with principals, members of the administration, and the creation of programs to address the needs of employees and their children from foreign countries
Coordinating programs, cost analysis and benefits related to electrical needs with
TVA and Middle Tennessee Electric Membership Cooperation (MTEMC)
Providing assistance with employee transportation, carpooling options, transit on demand, and a van pool program through the Transportation Management Association Group (TMA Group)
Planning and facilitating meetings for the Industrial Development Board of Williamson County, which reviews and approves requests for local incentive packages
Planning and facilitating quarterly meetings for the Williamson County Economic Development Board which guides the economic development strategy for the County
